Where this comes from
T-Microcement started on a project in Medewi, West Bali.
We were building a villa from scratch and wanted a seamless, modern finish throughout. We tested the microcement systems on the local market: the ones that looked right cost a fortune for a whole house, and the affordable ones didn’t perform. The gap between good enough and affordable was too wide to live with.
So we started experimenting.
Months of iterating
A dozen components, a long series of prototypes, test patches on the build, and a lot of “this works in our test but local contractors can’t repeat it.”
The hard part turned out not to be the finished properties. It was making the system workable by people who hadn’t seen it before, hard to mess up, and built from ingredients you can actually source in Indonesia.
The final mix is a polymer-modified white cement with mineral fillers, slow-release antimicrobial minerals, and workability admixtures tuned for tropical heat. Everything except the polymer is mineral, and the system is fully UV-stable. The sealer is silicone-based and applied breathable on purpose. The minerals in the mix need to keep migrating to the surface to do their job. More on what’s in it on the product page.
A year on the project
The villa was completed and has been lived in for a year. Walls, floors, indoor and covered outdoor surfaces. Every photo in the gallery is from the project. No cracking, no discolouration, no mould, normal wear on the floors that sand-and-recoat handles in an afternoon.
One year of daily use on a real building.
Why we’re selling it now
Visitors saw the finish. They asked where to get it. Several wanted some for their own projects. After enough of those conversations, we decided to make the product available, at a pace we can match.
The product is young: one detailed reference project, no lab certificate yet. We offer attractive pricing for early customers. Get in touch and we’ll talk through what makes sense for your project.
Where we are
In Bali. We sell the material; we don’t apply it on your site. (We’ll talk if your case is unusual.) Samples by post, or come visit. We’ll show you the real thing.
